Galvalume steel coil /Aluzinc steel coil
Galvalume steel (GL), also commonly known as Aluzinc steel coil, is a high-performance aluminum-zinc alloy coated steel produced by a hot-dip coating process using cold-rolled steel as the substrate. During manufacturing, the steel sheet passes through a molten alloy bath at approximately 600°C, forming a protective coating composed of about 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon. This process creates a stable aluminum–iron–silicon–zinc microstructure on the steel surface.
The aluminum in the coating provides excellent barrier protection and heat resistance, while the zinc delivers electrochemical (sacrificial) corrosion protection. Because of this dual protection mechanism, Galvalume / Aluzinc steel coil offers significantly higher corrosion resistance and a longer service life than traditional galvanized steel, often lasting 2–6 times longer in many environments.
Due to its durability, heat reflectivity, and edge protection performance, Galvalume (Aluzinc) steel coil is widely used in metal roofing sheets, wall cladding panels, sandwich panels, appliances, and various construction and industrial applications where long-term corrosion resistance and structural reliability are required

FAQ About Galvalume Steel Coil
Here are the common questions that you may want to know.
What is Galvalume steel used for?
Galvalume steel is mainly used for roofing sheets, wall panels, sandwich panels, and appliances.
What is AZ150 coating?
AZ150 means the aluminum-zinc coating weight is 150 g/m².
Is Galvalume better than galvanized steel?
Yes. In most outdoor environments, Galvalume offers 2–6 times higher corrosion resistance.
